After that last post about how my laptop resurrected itself, it crashed again. Called the tech company and tried taking out the extra ram, cause they say that's where the prob usually is. Managed to find the screwdriver and followed the instructions and took it out, but it still didn't work. So I had no choice but to call the company again and told them I was going down. The company's at Post melbourne. To get there, I have to take a tram down (their tram here is like our bus), then take a bus down (their bus here is like an aeroplane. tell you why later). My journey there was quite smooth. Dropped it off and went to school for lessons. After my class, they called me and said it was fixed. Woah. That was at around 3.30pm. Since they close at 5pm I told them I'll go down to collect immediately. So I took the tram down and waited for a bus. After 45mins, the bloody bus wasn't there yet. That was already 4.45pm. Had to call the company and tell them to wait for me for about 15 mins after 5. Finally I found another bus down to Port Melb and reached there 5.15pm on dot. So paiseh. Luckily he seemed very busy so I didn't feel so bad. At least he wasn't hanging around just waiting for me to come. Apparently he still had work to clear. Anw my laptop's motherboard did crash, and he said that it was probably because it was used on cloth surfaces or on anything that covered the vent outlets, resulting in overheating. Ahh. So it was my fault. Nvm at least it's fixed now. I'm back on to MSN civilisation! So picked up my laptop and went to the nearest bus-stop. There was this timetable that showed the time of arrival for the buses. These were the timings:
237 - 5.23pm (I reached the bus-stop at 5.35pm. damn)
237 - 6.07pm
237 - 7.31pm
Omg the buses in the evening come every one hr or so?? The ones in the morning came every 20-30mins. Yep so I waited for about 35mins for my bus (not that long actually). Can you imagine if I reached the bus-stop at 6pm or something? ...
Last sat we went grocery shopping in the morning at Queen Vic Market (QVM). Think I bought too much food. It's near the end of the week and I think I still have enough for next week. We went home, dropped the ood in the fridge, then met up again at Southern Cross Station for lunch and shopping! There's this shopping area called the Direct Factory Outlets, which sell branded goods at a cheap price. They are all authentic, but some are samples and those display items which are still in good condition. The weird thing is most of the goods are not samples nor display items, just brand new items that could sell for a lot considering their brand name. For example, I bought a pair of Levi's jeans for AUD$50, which is S$60. Myabe these are old stock, or maybe it's located near the factory. But the area is in the city and it's impossible to have so many factories for so many diff brands around. Maybe they share transport so cost is reduced. Hmm. Agglomeration. Hah. Anw we took a walk down to Flagstaff Gardens after that, then went home for dinner.
The next day, we met at Federation Square and walked down to Southbank to see the Sunday Art Market there. They have so many things to see! Soaps that look like cakes, jewellery, paintings, carvings, aboriginal art, and Dutch pancakes! Haha. Quite cool. After that we took a tram down to South Melbourne beach. This beach is much less crowded that St. Kilda's, and so cold! The wind was strong and chilling, and the sun was blazing hot, so you're like heated and chilled at the same time. I like it better than St. Kilda's. One thing , it's nearer, less crowded (so you see more of sand, sea shells and waves than humans) and quieter. Quite delightful. We picked sea shells, had our lunch on the sands and watched volleyball matches. Relaxing huh? Haha. We left for the Crown Casino after our lunch. Yep first time in a casino. Learnt most of the games they play there and how people play them. Regretted not taking a deck of cards from SIA when I came. Then gong yue and I went for dinner. We found the Singapore CHom Chom! Haha had laksa. Was lamenting how laksa isn't laksa until it has 'harm/ham' in it (cockles lah). They absolutely have no cockles here in aussie. Sad. What will char kway teow be man. Hehe the laksa was satisfying. =D
Tmr is sat, so time to go gai gai again. =)

This picture was taken at a CSS 2006 Trivarsity Retreat at The Church of St. Teresa, by a fellow retreat cum CSS member.
Besides its bluish hue, I love how the shot was taken: from the church looking out to the city. We are often attracted by
the excitement that this world has to offer, but we should often be reminded that as Catholics, it is important
to look back at our selves to reflect, and to turn to God as often as it possible. For we are, afterall, children of God.
I thought of replacing this picture when I lost my template, but I could not find another so full of meaning and beauty to me.
It reminds me of my identities and roles - my spirituality, my God, my home, the people who read this blog, and of my own beauty.
