I finally finished my essay! I can stop breathing Roman air for a little while now, at least from friday onwards. Still have to edit my essay and do the final touch-ups. I can finally move on to my other work though, and clean up my house a bit. And play a little with less guilt. =D
Yes, play. That's what we did last night. And yes, without guilt, since I finished my essay the night before at 3am (or do you call that yesterday morning?). We went to Papa Gino's along lygon to celebrate Fax's 21st bday. 10 of us went, including fax, jansen, susan, eliza, hy, gy, joey, terence, cheryl and me. The food was not bad, at least it was cheap. The ten of us paid only $90 in total for 3 large pizzas, 2 pastas and 1 garlic bread. 1 garlic bread seems little but it's the same size and shape as a large pizza. I find Notturno's better though, in terms of food, but this will do.
Took lots of pics and we went off to UniLodge to chill for a while. Sat there and played games like Animal. Keeping it from fax, the plan was that jansen should leave with lionel to prepare chocolate fondue at his place. Turned out that everyone started leaving as well. Talk about being discreet and inconspicious. Anw, so left me, fax, su san and eliza to entertain him till the rest were done with the preparations, and the four of us sat there playing Electricity and cam whoring. When it was time, we girls took a scarf from su san's room and went to his room and blindfolded him. Met up with a small resistance on his part but we managed to overcome it. Then we took him round in circles hoping he would lose his bearings. Even after we turned around so many times till he could hardly walk straight, he still knew where we were bringing him. Not because the blindfold wasnt tight enough. So we gave up and led him straight to college sq, and the lifts gave our location away. The best part was when we just came out of the lift, and jansen went ahead of us to open his house door. The moment he did so, while we still a distance away from the door, we heard the loud voices of "Happy Birthday to You". Wah what a prelude. They got the song started on the wrong person lor. Dots.
The blindfold was taken off and we started on the chocolate fondue. No fountain, just some bars of dark choc from IKEA and cadbury choc melted in a pot, and bananas, strawberries, orange with peel, and purple grapes with seeds. The orange and peel turned out very nice. Wish we could have dipped it in choc and frozen it, then we would get orange choc. After lots of choc and jokes, we gave him his present just before midnight. A card with choc pics on it and a baby toy, those small shakers that the baby holds in his small hands and shakes. Gy bought this from vic mrkt seeing that it was cute and without the intention of giving it to fax. Guess she decided afterwards that it would serve as a suitable present for him.
