COSDU had our AGM meeting on friday, and the new comm was elected. Quite a lot of excitement going on in that room that day, and I guess it turned out quite well after all.
After AGM I had to rush to unilodge to celebrate hy's 21st bday with them. They went to ying thai for dinner already, so I just joined them for a bit of cake and drink, till quite late at night, so a few of us stayed over at jansen's place. We gave batman quite a lot of presents, compared to fax's miserly baby toy. Besides the card we gave him a batman t-shirt as well as a bag.

Went straight for breakfast and then to Queen Vic Market for groceries the next morning. Surprisingly, we all woke up quite early, despite the long night. Had Norsiah's for lunch and met up for touch rug after that. First time playing touch rug and it was really fun. We were commenting that ultimate frisbee doesn't feel that fun after you start playing touch rug. Guess we can only play either game the next time. Video courtesy of gong yue. Even if the image of us playing touc rug doesnt appear in the icon, just click on it and it will still play.
After touch rug was Iron Chef Episode 2 - Curry. Yes we had jansen as challenger, with chicken curry, against our Iron Chef, hongyao, with vegetable curry. Of course the rest of us contributed too. Su san, eliza, fax and lionel made spring rolls while I fried a few prawns. And I must say our dinners are getting better and better.
We went home early that night, cause we had horse riding the next day. I felt that this ride was much more fun than the previous one, but probably because I had the gentlest and one of the most obedient horses around. It was competitive, had a lot of character (always kicking the horse behind), and full of energy (always sneezing in boredom while walking). Took me a while to figure out what the horse meant every time it sneezed, and how to control it but yet give it space and reward. The previous ride was just too restrictive. Good for first-timers to learn but it'll be boring to go back there. This ride gave us quite a lot of space so we could control our horses and make them move at the speed we wanted. Think the other horses weren't as obedient though. Mine's called Joker. Gy said she should have ridden mine. Haha. Batman went for the first time that day, and went home with a really sore butt. They didn't really teach him properly, but I'm sure he enjoyed his first ride nevertheless.
Two lessons that I learnt from runs: 1) nothing is impossible if God is with you and that 2) I am my only obstacle.

This picture was taken at a CSS 2006 Trivarsity Retreat at The Church of St. Teresa, by a fellow retreat cum CSS member.
Besides its bluish hue, I love how the shot was taken: from the church looking out to the city. We are often attracted by
the excitement that this world has to offer, but we should often be reminded that as Catholics, it is important
to look back at our selves to reflect, and to turn to God as often as it possible. For we are, afterall, children of God.
I thought of replacing this picture when I lost my template, but I could not find another so full of meaning and beauty to me.
It reminds me of my identities and roles - my spirituality, my God, my home, the people who read this blog, and of my own beauty.

song in her head: wants to give you up. she knows you're not the one. not the one who understands her. not the one who wants to support her and love her for all her imperfections.
