Swot Vac, aka exam study break, has now officially started. And just to make it look like my life does involve studying, I shall blog on how I spend my free time in recent days holing myself up in Baillieu library, feeling claustrophobic in those cubicles. The silence in my world is occasionally punctuated by sounds of me munching away on dark choc tim tam or some other choc that su san passes round; the silence in the library world around is more than often punctuated by sounds of people arriving, leaving, whispering, clicking on their laptops, and frantically flipping their books, one of which happens to be the Veterinary Dictionary I saw lying on the table diagonally across me.
Even though this sem's work seem easier, I realised I've been less often around in lects, be it physically or mentally. That's worrying, because it means that I'm not as grounded in my concepts as I was last sem. I should be able to catch up this week's intensive revision, provided I'm not engaged in any other activities. No more Max Brenner!
I spent the whole morning and a good part of the afternoon grocery shopping, 2 hrs on the com, 1 hr on a run, 2 hrs on dinner, and approximately 3 hrs studying-cum-msning. Die.
Came across a quote recently: 'Incovenience is an adventure wrongly considered'. Talk about positive thinking.

This picture was taken at a CSS 2006 Trivarsity Retreat at The Church of St. Teresa, by a fellow retreat cum CSS member.
Besides its bluish hue, I love how the shot was taken: from the church looking out to the city. We are often attracted by
the excitement that this world has to offer, but we should often be reminded that as Catholics, it is important
to look back at our selves to reflect, and to turn to God as often as it possible. For we are, afterall, children of God.
I thought of replacing this picture when I lost my template, but I could not find another so full of meaning and beauty to me.
It reminds me of my identities and roles - my spirituality, my God, my home, the people who read this blog, and of my own beauty.

oh and don't bother asking me out
unless you want to go Down Under
mood: resigned
song in her head: wants to give you up. she knows you're not the one. not the one who understands her. not the one who wants to support her and love her for all her imperfections.
