For this whole week, Town has been flooded with people, weekends or no. It has simply been an oxygen-deprivation to be shopping amidst the crowds for presents. I decided I was not going to be out on Hari Raya. So I stayed at home, doing some laundry, washing the bathroom, and for dinner with my family and one of our friends. Dinner was a sumptous home-made Korean meal, with dishes such as Korean pancake, spicy rice cakes, kimchi soup, bulgogi beef, and kimchi, with Stella Artois and some red wine. Marvellous. And there was dessert too, which was actually all my chocs that I brought back from Aust. Tried the chilli choc, and found it to be not bad.
After dinner, we viewed some photos from our friend's Hokkaido trip (and tried some tidbits she bought back too), and played with a new gadget that she bought for herself and her family. This was not from Japan, but was bought from OSIM: an acupunture set. It sends small electrical jolts to your body through a probe, causing jingling sensations. With a chart, you can detect which part of your body is not in optimal working conditions, and proceed to relief tension in those pressure points by applying the jolts for five minutes. Erm those who have sprained their ankle/wrist/toe and have been to a chinese physician would probably recognise those similar jolts they send through the afflicted parts. I must say this gadget is quite good, esp for the older generation. Hehe. Old people's gadgets.
Mine has to be a large drill, a scapel, and some sort of tongs to wrench teeth out. Two of my teeth has been pulled out, and I'm suffering the first few stitches of my entire life. Good excuses for afternoon naps. The op was done yesterday, and today it started swelling a bit more. Anyone watched the Chipmunk show yet? Nice?
I think I'm ready for my third day of work next week, but seeing that it's Christmas, there's a bit of a reluctance there.

This picture was taken at a CSS 2006 Trivarsity Retreat at The Church of St. Teresa, by a fellow retreat cum CSS member.
Besides its bluish hue, I love how the shot was taken: from the church looking out to the city. We are often attracted by
the excitement that this world has to offer, but we should often be reminded that as Catholics, it is important
to look back at our selves to reflect, and to turn to God as often as it possible. For we are, afterall, children of God.
I thought of replacing this picture when I lost my template, but I could not find another so full of meaning and beauty to me.
It reminds me of my identities and roles - my spirituality, my God, my home, the people who read this blog, and of my own beauty.

mood: resigned
song in her head: wants to give you up. she knows you're not the one. not the one who understands her. not the one who wants to support her and love her for all her imperfections.
